Living in the moment

This one turns 7 years old today.

Our Vet recently informed me that she is now a senior.

She is getting old.

She teaches me so much about life.

She shows me how to love unconditionally and live in the moment.

I love her so much.

I never thought I could love something (especially an animal) as much as I love her.

I relish each moment with her, knowing her time here is short… relatively speaking.

She is currently sleeping in her dog bed beside my desk and I couldn’t help but get up and snuggle with her in between sentences.

Yes… she gets a lot of lovin’!

She makes me so happy.

She adds so much joy to my day.

While the thought of her aging makes me sad because I know I have limited time left with her, it makes me cherish the time I have with her now even more.

It helps me to stay present in the moment and appreciate what I have today.

I know things can change in the blink of an eye, and there is no way of ever knowing exactly what lies around the next corner.

Which is why living in the moment is so important to me.

Living in the moment allows me to show up and be present with what’s here now.

It allows me to let go of what may happen tomorrow, the next day, or 5 years from now.

It creates freedom.

It is expansive and generative.

It allows for growth and possibility.

This moment is all there really is.

Veda teaches me every day that living in the moment is the only way to really live and experience life.

And… she does it so naturally!

How about you? Are you living in the moment? If not, what’s getting in the way?

If you find yourself wanting support to live more fully in the moment, I would love to talk to you to see if I can help.

Here’s to being more like a dog and less like a human!
