My husband and I have been watching Friday Night Lights.
An NBC TV show from 2006-2011 that is now available on Amazon Prime.
We’re hooked… to say the least.
There are 5 seasons and 76 episodes.
We started it over the summer and are now 72 episodes in (by the time you read this, we will likely be even further along🤪).
I’m not sure what I’m going to do without the wisdom and inspiration from Coach Taylor and his wife Tammy Taylor.
Seriously, it’s a great show... and I'm not even big on TV. I highly recommend it.
While there are many things I like about this show, I think what I like most about it is the way it depicts human potential.
The show uses everyday circumstances and events to demonstrate the consequences and outcomes of different choices and behavior.
Choices to honor ones values and be in integrity with oneself, and choices not to do this.
Choices to act from a place of fear and scarcity, and choices to trust in oneself and the goodness of life and humanity.
Choices to engage with courage and step up to do the right thing, and choices to be cowardly and play small.
Choices to be a leader and follow a personal vision or calling with heart, and choices to follow someone else’s path.
Yes… this show highlights clearly what is possible for us as human beings (the entire range of it!).
It highlights the potential that we all have to rise to our greatness.
And, also shows us what’s available to us if we don’t.
I personally believe that we are all built for greatness.
We are built to fulfill our life’s purpose.
We are made to realize our potential.
We are created to be alive… and fulfilled in this life.
I think it’s just fear that gets in the way of this happening.
And Friday Night Lights clearly demonstrates this... in a way that’s really fun and engaging.
So, go check it out and be inspired to achieve your own greatness!
I promise you won’t regret it!
In Ultimate Support of You!
PS I’m already starting to go through withdrawal just thinking (and writing) about it being over! If you have any TV shows you love, I would really appreciate the recommendations. Would like something to watch after we finish this final season😉.
