I love food.

I love just about everything about it.

I love grocery shopping.

I love prepping.

I love cooking.

I love baking.

I love the way I feel after a good meal.

I love sharing a meal with good company.

I love trying new restaurants.

I love trying new recipes.

And… of course…. I love eating!

Yes… I love creating dishes and eating them!

I worked in the restaurant business for about 5 years. 

During part of this time, I was taking a break from college to figure out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life.

I decided to go back to school to study accounting so that I could open my own restaurant (and understand the finance and accounting side of running a business).

Obviously, my life unfolded a little differently😉.

While things didn’t quite work out as planned, I still love being in and around food. 

It makes me happy!

My love of food has manifested in different ways.

Today, it is an interest and hobby that brings so much joy to my life. 

It calms me down. 

It grounds me. 

It nourishes my body… and my spirit. 

It fosters connection with others. 

It allows me to play and have fun.

It is a way for me to create (and access my creativity).

It inspires me.

And… I’m excited to see where it takes me!

The next unfolding on this journey of exploring food is to create my own vegetable and herb garden. 

The seeds and raised beds are ready to go, and the soil will be delivered today!

Here’s to following our interests for the sake of exploring ourselves more fully, and creating something new!

PS This week I made a few new recipes… Indian curry, coconut rice pudding, and Korean Bibimbap. All turned out amazing! Here’s a picture of the Bibimbap.
